Install Nitrux OS Icons (3.0.7) From PPA in Ubuntu/Linux Mint

The famous Nitrux OS icon theme has been updated recently to version 3.0.7 which brings these new changes:
- Revised Icons: Symbolic icons [for elementary OS], Gnome Online Accounts, Lockscreen in Gnome Control Center/Switchboard, Google, Calculator, Various actions.

- Fixes: Fixed Krita and Kexi not displaying correct icons.

- New Icons: Birdie [+custom icons], eStudio (Baseline), Pomidor, Agenda, Footnote, Geary [custom icons], Kamoso, Kaddressbook, Various KDE preferences categories, Gazette, Ark.


The PPA is available for these Ubuntu/Linux Mint distros:

  • Ubuntu 13.04/12.10/12.04
  • Linux Mint 15/14/13



Installation:

Open the terminal and issue these commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nitrux

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install nitruxos 

To enable Nitrux, use GNOME TWEAK TOOL or enter this command:


gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'NITRUX'

The buttonized version of Nitrux can be enabled with this command:


gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'NITRUX-Buttons'
